Lakisha Reid
Lakisha Reid Is the founder and Competitive Teams Director of Day Dream Dance. She realized her love for children and instruction of the performing arts at a very young age. She always loved to dance and put on a show , she began training in an after school dance program as a young elementary school child and fell in love immediately. From there she continued to dance, cheer and take gymnastics classes soon becoming good enough to teach the programs. It was then that she realized that her true love was teaching and children. She continued to dance and cheer on both her high school and college teams . Along the way she has created cheer programs for Montgomery Village YMCA, head coached National champion cheer and dance teams in Montgomery and Frederick Counties , winning Multiple awards for her choreography, and has had many routines featured on television. Lakisha also has a 13 year background in child development and is a certified preschool teacher. Lakisha's love for children and her equal love for the performing arts and creative expression allow her to offer a well rounded quality dance education facility.

Madeleine Halo
Madeleine Halo is the Owner and Artistic Director of, Day Dream Dance, which has been serving Montgomery County, MD since 2004. She began training with her mother, a life long dancer, when she was a young girl.  At the age of 12, Madeleine became a Hip Hop instructor at Gotta Dance's summer program and soon after, she began teaching Hip Hop and Jazz at the studio full time. She then started teaching Hip Hop at the YMCA in Bethesda, MD at the age of 13. She introduced a similar dance program to the YMCA located in, Gaithersburg, MD at the age of 14 where she developed the basic structure of all classes as well as taught some of her own Hip Hop, Jazz, and Tap classes.

During her years at, Oakcrest School, in Washington DC, Madeleine took part in variety shows in which she contributed to all aspects of the productions. She assisted in the choreography of numerous dances, acting roles, and singing. Madeleine was then given the chance to teach a 3 week Hip Hop workshop for a non-profit organization in Barbados. Since then she has trained at, Carol Fonda Dance Studio, in New York City and upon returning to Maryland she has continued training at a dance studio in Gaithersburg, MD. After a few years of solely training without teaching dance, Madeleine discovered that her passion for dance was not as rewarding without having the ability to work closely with children. Madeleine then volunteered her time to teach at St. Ann's, an orphanage in Hyattsville, Maryland. She joined the team at Day Dream Dance in 2005 to keep her passion alive and to spread the joy of dance to others.
